DeAndre Richardson / MADD

My name is Crystal Richardson. On June 25th 2016 ,two families world's came to a end in the blink of an eye , My 16yr old son DeAndre and his best friend leo 15 was walking along Hollywood 162 in Berkeley county sc with there skateboards in hand. They was walking back to Leo's family's house in the grass because this road has no sidewalks and only two lane. A man named Bernis Webb was trying to pass the vehicle in front of him while going 77 in a 55mph ,he lost control and ran off the side of the Rd striking my son and his best friend from behind ,it happened so fast they barley seen it coming. This man left them in the ditch and never stopped ,10 minutes after accident he calls to report his Jeep stolen which never happened he admitted it wasn't stolen and thanks to 4 witnesses he was described as the person driving the car and this only happened because his Jeep broke down. Police gathers video of purchases of liquor and beer ,when they checked his car he left his phone wallet and his beer in console. On the day of my sons funeral the cops call me and say they got him. He spent 4 months in jail til a judge reduced bond. Now he's out with his family and kids and our family is left feeling dead inside. It's been a year and still no court date. He should be graduating 2018 he'd be a senior now ,he wanted to join the military. Him and Leo was always full of jokes and smiles ,always helping someone I miss them dearly and support madd 100% I wouldn't wish any of this on my worst enemy. Part of me died with him
