Mothers Against Drunk Driving is now accepting nominations for 2024 MADD Florida State Law Enforcement Recognition

The goal of the nominations is to highlight individuals, law enforcement officers, first responders, state attorneys, and civilians who, in their work or daily lives, support MADD's mission to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking.

DEADLINE: Nominations will be accepted through May 31, 2024 Midnight


When a Hero Among Us deserves recognition, it is up to all of us to make sure they receive it.


Instructions:

1.  You will see the listing of all available categories, please select one category for this nomination form.

Note: you may nominate someone for multiple categories, but you must complete a new submission form through this portal each time.

2. Fill out the nominee’s contact information. Please attempt to be as accurate as possible. (Official police department, title, full first name, etc.) This will allow for both accurate judging if someone is nominated more than once and for proper acknowledgment at the recognition dinner.

3. Please fill out your information as the nominator. Once the form is complete you will receive a confirmation of this submission via the contact information entered during this step.

4. VERY IMPORTANT: please fill out the final question requesting information as to why your nominee is deserving of this recognition. Please use specific examples from 2023. Submissions with no specific examples or examples from 2024 or 2022 will not be considered.

Note: Specific examples can be attached and can include letters, testimonials, etc. Statistics are encouraged but will not be the sole determinant of the winner. Use the statistics to demonstrate how your nominee has gone above and beyond in 2019. (Examples: Officer volunteers for Victim Impact Panels, Deputy has increased DUI checkpoints from 3 a year to 5. Sargent has seen a 20% increase in DUI arrests in 2019. Etc.)
