TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS

 *Note there is a $5 day pass for each vehicle

  1. This is a catch & release tournament using the iAngler app.
  2. Judges have the final say and communicate via the iAngler app.
  3. This is a team boat tournament.
  4. Participation is open to anyone 18 Years of age or older. Minors are eligible to register and participate with a parent or guardian who also participates in the event or grants permission. The obligation to know these rules falls upon the parent.
  5. All fish must be measured on the official tournament fish ruler and photos uploaded on iAngler.
  6. Fish will not be rounded up to the next inch so clear photos showing measurement is vital.
  7. Anglers can use any bait of choice.
  8. No fishing within 250 feet of marina areas, boat launches or fuel stations.
  9. All State and Federal laws apply.
  10. Captains may launch at safe light, which is captain’s discretion.
  11. A minimum of 2 anglers per boat is required for safety reasons with a maximum of 4 anglers for boat registration fee.  
  12. No line in the water before 7:00 am (Honor Start).
  13. All fish must be caught on rod, reel, line and hook. No traps, snares, set lines or other methods of fishing other than rod, reel and line are permissible, even if legal under state game laws.
  14. Contestants may not leave the boat to stand or to wade while fishing.
  15. Fishing is permitted anywhere in Beaver Lake.
  16. Valid State of Arkansas fishing license is required to participate in the tournament as regulated by Arkansas Fish and Wildlife Commission.
  17. In case of a tie, the angler who catches the targeted species first wins.
  18. Boats can launch from any dock of their choice as long as they abide by the launch at safe light and no lines in water before 7:00 am.
  19. All contestants are required to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, and conservation. Intoxication will be cause for immediate disqualification. Participation in any criminal activities, or other conduct reflecting unfavorably upon efforts to promote safety, sportsmanship, fair competition and compliance with tournament rules and the law are grounds for disqualification and/or rejection of any applicant from participation. This will also entail the return of any prizes awarded.

 

FORMAT & SCORING

  1. Fish Like MADD is a photo fishing tournament using the iAngler app and targeting Bass.
  2. Captain’s Meeting at (insert location here) on Friday night, June 21st at 6 pm.
  3. Boat Team: First place will be awarded to the boat that has the most inches for best of 8 Bass. If no boat obtains all 8 correct species, winner will be determined by total length of fish submitted. In the event of a tie, the team that caught their fish first will be determined the winner. Second and third place awards following the same format. Prizes awarded for this category.

 

Proper Photo for Scoring:

  1. Legible. Photo must be clear enough to read identifier, including required event identifier, and judge the length accurately. 
  2. Ruler legible and species placed on ruler
  3. Facing left on a measuring device, left side of the fish visible, dorsal fin toward the top of the photo
  4.  Mouth completely closed with jaw and/or lips touching the “fence.” Position camera lens directly over the center of the fish’s body to aid judges in determining that fish’ mouth is closed and in contact with the fence.
  5. Tail centered and its tip in contact with the measuring device.
  6.  To confirm that the fish is alive, the fish’s eye must be uncovered in the photo. Photos of fish that appear to be dead, mutilated, frozen or similarly damaged will be disqualified without scoring.
  7. Competitor’s watercraft clearly visible
